In order to live a harmonious and creative life, you need to have both your inner female and male energies fully developed and functioning correctly together. To fully integrate the inner male and female, you need to put your inner female, your intuition, in the guiding position, with the male supporting her.

Meeting Your Inner Guide

Close your eyes and relax deeply. Go to your inner sanctuary. Imagine that you are standing on a path. Start to walk up the path. See in the distance a form coming toward you, radiating a clear, bright light. As you approach the form, see how it looks, how it is dressed, and whether it is male or female. Greet this being, ask its name. Take whatever name comes. Ask if there is anything he or she would like to say to you. You may ask specific questions. When the experience of being together feels complete, thank your guide. Express your appreciation and ask him or her to meet you again, whenever you desire.

Learning to Channel your Higher Self

Almost any form of Meditation will eventually take you to an experience of yourself as source, or your “higher self.” If you are not sure what this experience is, just continue to practice relaxation, visualization, and affirmation. Eventually you will start to experience certain moments during your meditation when there is a shift in your consciousness and you feel as though things are really working. You may feel energy flowing through you, or a warm, radiant glow in your body. You are beginning to channel the energy of your higher self.

Create a Balance Within

Sit comfortably with your back straight. Close your eyes. Relax your body completely. Imagine there is a long cord from the base of your spine extending down through the floor into the heart. This is called a grounding cord. Now imagine that the energy of the earth is flowing up through this cord, through all parts of your body, and through the top of your head. Now imagine that the energy of the cosmos is flowing through the top of your head, through your body, done through the grounding cord and your feet, and into the earth. Feel both these flows going in different directions and mixing harmoniously in your body. This creates a balance which will increase your sense of well-being, your power of manifestation.

Integrate Your Form And Spirit

Remembering Who We Are

Form  – An Unfolding Creation

Spirit is the energy of the universe, the higher self. Form is the physical world. Self-esteem List

Imagine you are your own best friend. Describe yourself exactly as your friend would if he or she were telling someone about you. Use your own name and tell about all of your good qualities and characteristics. “I can always depend on John when I need help,” or “John has a delightful sense of humor and always helps me to laugh when I am taking myself too seriously.”

As you do this exercise, either have someone else take notes or write down what you are describing about yourself. Now you have the beginning of your self-esteem list and can add to it daily. The more we love ourselves, the closer we are to our higher self.

Self-Image

To get in touch with your self-image, begin to ask yourself, ” How do I feel about myself right now?” at various times throughout the day. Just begin to notice what kinds of ideas or images you hold in your mind about yourself at different times. Observe whether you frequently tell yourself negative or critical things. Once you understand the ways in which you are not loving yourself, begin to regularly tell yourself positive, appreciative, loving things. Think of specific qualities that you do appreciate about yourself.

Be Good to Yourself

If I´m feeling sad, I might crawl into bed and cry, taking time to be very loving and nurturing to myself. Or I might find someone caring to talk to who will simply listen to me until some of the feelings are released and I feel lighter. If I´ve been working too hard, I learn to put work aside, no matter how important it seems. I take time to play, or take a hot bath, or read a novel. If someone I love wants something from me that I don´t want to give, I learn to say ¨no,´ firmly, yet with love. I trust that he or she will be better off than if I did it when I didn´t want to. This way when I say ¨yes, ¨ I really mean it.
