Self-esteem List
Imagine you are your own best friend. Describe yourself exactly as your friend would if he or she were telling someone about you. Use your own name and tell about all of your good qualities and characteristics. “I can always depend on John when I need help,” or “John has a delightful sense of humor and always helps me to laugh when I am taking myself too seriously.”
As you do this exercise, either have someone else take notes or write down what you are describing about yourself. Now you have the beginning of your self-esteem list and can add to it daily. The more we love ourselves, the closer we are to our higher self.
