Validating yourself

Here is an exercise to help you begin appreciating and validating yourself:
Stand in front of the mirror and look directly into your eyes. In a clear, strong voice, make this statement to yourself, “(Your first name), one thing I really like about you is…¨ and complete the sentence with something you like about yourself. It could be a quality of your personality, an aspect of your appearance, or something you´ve done that you feel proud of. Repeat this process at least ten times, mentioning a different positive attribute each time.

If possible, do this exercise every day for at least a week, and once a week after that.
